The WASL GROUP was established on May 25, 2008 by the Dubai Real Estate Corporation (DREC) to oversee its asset management and expand its real estate portfolio. Its main goal is to strengthen Dubai’s position as a major hub for living and working, while at the same time becoming an ideal destination for tourists. Created as a result of the merger of two government organizations: the Dubai Development Council and the Real Estate Department, WASL GROUP focused its activities on a number of key business sectors, including project and real estate management, hospitality and investment management. Successful mergers and integrations included changing business practices, changing people’s core competencies, and implementing market-oriented investment strategies. Today, WASL GROUP is one of the largest real estate management companies in Dubai.
