Laing O’Rourke was founded in 2001, combining the expertise of John Laing Plc’s construction division, which dates back to 1848, and R O’Rourke & Son, a regional formwork and concrete specialist founded in 1978. The new business has grown to become a well-known international engineering and construction company. In the two decades since its founding, Laing O’Rourke has entered new markets and strengthened its project delivery capabilities; pioneering modern construction methods, implementing targeted technologies, providing confidence to customers, and building some of the world’s most iconic projects.
