The Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC) was a government-owned real estate development company established in 2006 in Abu Dhabi. Created as a subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, it was responsible for delivering major tourism, cultural, and residential projects across the emirate. TDIC played a pivotal role in the development of Saadiyat Island, home to iconic landmarks such as the Louvre Abu Dhabi and the future Guggenheim Museum. The company also oversaw the development of natural tourism destinations, including Sir Bani Yas Island. In 2012, its functions were transferred to the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, and TDIC ceased independent operations.
We urgently needed to buy a spacious villa in Abu Dhabi near the sea with a white sandy beach, a swimming pool in the courtyard, green areas with barbecue, huge panoramic windows, a large kitchen area and a living room, because we have a very large family and many friends. We like to get together in our free time. A friend of our family helped us choose the TDIC developer, because she had already bought an apartment through this developer. The manager worked quickly, chose several options for us, we went to the place and immediately bought this villa on Saadiyat Island. Therefore, our quick purchase turned out to be more successful than we thought.
